THE OBJECTIVE

To give Dads more confidence in knowing how to talk to their children about self-esteem.

With an increasing amount of children struggling with self-esteem challenges, Dove Men+Care wanted to support Dads via an active digital community.

THE INSIGHT

Globally, 8 out of 10 girls with low body esteem put their health at risk by not seeing a doctor or by skipping meals.

65% of Dads do not feel confident talking to and teaching their children about self-esteem & self-confidence.

CREATING EMOTION

All dads will have their own struggles with self-esteem & confidence and likewise, experiencing our children’s struggles too. Creating emotion, therefore, wasn’t difficult and throughout the partnership we shared each others stories to further that emotional connect to ourselves, our children & to each other.

OUR JOB

This partnership was built around a 6 week course enabling dads to join a live session each week, with Learning Units & tasks to complete in between. We knew we needed to develop a core group of dads actively participating in the course.

IMMERSED IN COMMUNITY

Having been designed as a course for the community, this was easy to immerse within Dadsnet. The Dove tools & resources were being shared but what became most poignant was people talking about the course outside of the designated sessions.
